Exotic Car Detailing is the pinnacle of achievement for any detailing and auto reconditioning service. Most detail shops go years or never without ever working on a true exotic. We’ve been fortunate to have worked on some amazing exotic cars and many of the exotics featured on this website are actual vehicles we have worked on. From Bentley’s to Ferrari’s we have worked on some of the most rarified machines you can imagine. It takes special precision and care to work on exotic cars. They are always very expensive and often many of them have vintage one-stage paint and are a bit more delicate than daily driver cars. That’s important to remember. The fact is the bar is raised so high on exotics that you have to have a detailer that can rise to that level of perfection. Take for example the graphic of the black Ferrari 512 Boxer lower on this page. That car used three different materials to make its body panels: steel, aluminum, and fiberglass. Each of these substrates dissipate heat differently so you have buff them differently. A normal detailer will not know this and that can have expensive repercussions.
Exotic Car Detailing Myths
One of the biggest myths that detailers perpetuate about exotic car detailing is that it costs more to do the same things to an exotic car that you would do to a normal car. Not true. It’s a classic way that detailers cheat high-end customers out of money. The reality is that it should not cost any more to vac out a Ferrari than it does to vac out a Toyota. However, we do much more to an exotic car than we do to a daily driver because it is warranted. We dry ice clean the entire frame, the brake assembly and the engine and engine bay. This is simply not warranted on a daily driver, but it is on a super rare exotic car.
Perfection Takes Time
Our Standard Details are pretty thorough, but we can almost always complete a Standard Detail in a single day. That is not the case with our exotic car detailing packages. Due to the level of reconditioning we pursue it can take 3 to 5 days to complete an exotic car detail depending on the condition of the vehicle.
We start on Day One of the exotic car detailing process doing a complete review of your specialty car. This can take several hours as we tape off windows, trim, air intake systems and so on. As we move to the paint correction process, we do not want to introduce any contaminants to trim pieces, windows or delicate and difficult to replace badging. The paint correction process can take 1 to 3 days.
Once the paint correction process is complete, we wrap the car in a protective plastic and begin the dry ice cleaning of the frame, engine bay, wheels and brake system. This can usually be completed in a day. We will remove the wheels and tires of the vehicle and inspect the wheels for any curb rash or other damage. We will repair the damage and can also repaint, or powder-coat wheels as needed.
Once we complete both the paint correction and dry ice cleaning we will apply 3-coats of the award winning Revivify self-healing ceramic coating.
Finally, we start working on the interior and this may include restorative work to the vehicles leather including damage repair and dyeing. We can exact match even vintage leather dye if needed.
Our goal is to get your exotic car back to as close to showroom new condition as possible with the addition of modern protective coatings and annual maintenance that will keep your exotic looking perfect for years to come.
